It just a negotiation tactic. Once someone expresses an interest then the seller starts the pricing game. Its just the way some people operate. I don't like it and I rarely contact someone who doesn't post the price. If I do make contact with a person not showing the price I usually end up paying too much because the transaction then has some momentum to it. These sellers know that.
