I'm finding weird stuff here. Most confirm my suspicions that the dealer service techs don't know what they're doing. For one thing, there used be a ground wire connected to the base of the distributor. After my recent issue wherein my van died, the distributor was loose, the timing was off, and they fixed it, somewhere in there the ground wire to the distributor base disappeared.

I also found out something interesting about that other loose wire, the white one with the green stripe on it. The Haynes manual shows a white/green wire in the circuit controlling idle stabilization. Seems it connects to, drum roll please, the idle stabilization control unit . . . at one end. Now, where does the other end connect? Bentley, here I come . . .
