Subject: How do you unfreeze a throttle cable?

Volks, I sold my Syncro Turbo Diesel to a nice couple in Victoria. I got the van detailed and when they cleaned the motor some water got into the throttle cable. Seeing how it is below freezing outside the throttle will now stick. Any idea on an easy way of getting this out? I don't want the customer to experience a stuck throttle on their way home (or ever really).

Help!
