AN easy mistake to make if you are cold tired and frustrated.

I burned my O2 sensor wires onece while installing a new sensor. I wired the two white wires from the engine harness to each other rather than to the O2 sensor- instant wire fire.

It helps to be clear-headed and in a good frame of mind when working on your car, but not always possible.

. I was stranded on a trip when this happened, and had to spend all afternoon redoing some wires out in the National Forest. Fortunately is was sunny out.
