For Air Cooled engines.
#1) Notch the rods, fit the pistons looser

#4) Properly monitor your engine functions with a CHT, Oil Pressure, Oil
Temp gauge.
Jake Raby has some special ceramic cylinders that he installs on his
engines that makes them run very cool.
