This is basically why I rolled over and bought a VR6 Eurocamper. I really, really, really wanted a nice SynchroWesty but figured that they were running about what I paid for my EVC and the most recent SynchWestyVanagon that I could hope to find was at that time 12 years old (1991). No, the EVC is not the in the same category as my first choice but at this time in my life I needed to avoid as many hassles as I could. Yes, recent 70,000 mile "Service" made me feel like I was serviced indeed but at least the vehicle seems a bit more new than my dream Synchro. When I hit that Lotto I will also will first give a tithe and secondly go to the ends of the earth to obtain a SynchWesty or totally South African Synch double cab WITH custom airconditioning. =) -Ellis Phoenix Good luck with your engine rebuild! __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
