Dear Volks,
Circumstances have forced me to part company with my beloved Stella, an
85 Westie with a completely refurbished AVP 2.1 litre engine with ratio
rockers and about 1k on it. This van has a new water pump, radiator,
battery, windshield, thermostat and hoses. The double T flange was
replaced last year with the original VW part. Other items replaced or
upgraded over the past couple of years include: Bilstein shocks, new
custom-made springs on the rear, new seals around the windshield and
both driver and passenger side windows, new rear heater, both drive
axles, all front and rear suspension rods and bushings, exhaust pipes,
and many more small items too numerous to mention here. The van has
been almost completely restored, the body is in good shape with no rust
to speak of or major dents. The camper package is complete and hardly
used, the tent is in good shape with no tears or mold. She has recently
had an inspection and all was well except for window tinting on the
driver and passenger side windows slightly too dark for NC regs. All
side windows and the back have professional tinting.
