i still use arm signals in my bug. :) just a work around for a 6volt, but i know the issue is with the blinker assy near the steering wheel. $ are tight so i try and no get my arm ripped off my some mad a**ed 8mpg driver or a rear gunner.

I would say it might be the turn arm contact on the steering area or maybe even a relay that controls the blink pulse, thier are some relays near the fuse area.

careful when working on this stuff I like to disconnect the batt and always check for sloppy wires or shorts, relays are a bit more work to troubleshoot. DVM needed
