Volks,

Two questions on the Propex 1600 Furnace install.

Question One:

This unit has three vent/intake hoses.

Heat Output Fresh Air Input Exhaust Output

This question concerns the Fresh Air Intake Hose.

All the installs I have seen (under rear seat or nxt to water tank) seem to route the Air Input Hose/Vent to the outside.

One Example:

Can't this hose be routed inside the van, rather than externally?

Could we use recirculated air for this, rather than outside air and elimanate the need to cut another hole in the floor of the Van?

Question Two:

This heater can't be mounted vertically or upside down ... but I believe it is OK to mount it on its side as depicted in this photo?

I'm thinking of mounting mine nxt to the water tank like the first link, but on its side, fastened to the wall between the closet and water tank. Anyone see a problem with this?

Hitting the Trail Soon ... REALLY!
