Cause they're so pretty and shiny?  :^)  In my case, my van was being towed
and the tow truck driver took a turn too sharp.  He said he could either fix
the bumper, with no estimate on when it could be done (I was on vacation,
limited time frame), or I could not pay for the tow.  Nuff said?
