This obviously is going to wind up as a pissing contest so I would suggest that until the last bell is sounded that you start and keep current every action and every contact by name of those you deal with or talk to. Record in writing what was said, promised, denied, committed, by whom, the date, the time, etc. Then if it winds up in small claims, you have an accurate record. Be sure you use a little notebook in which the pages are permanently affixed. This becomes a day to day, hour by hour log or diary of events, and they are hard to contest in court even if the opposing party attempts to introduce other evidence.
