The Tom Wilson Book "How to Rebuild Your Air Cooled Volkswagen". Next thing. The rod lengths, stock crank and other dimensions are there. There are more than one ROD TYPE depending on your year model. CV engines have the heavy rods some other GE series have the heavy rods. Just look at the pictures ........... they'll interchange as sets. Early rods have a balancing Block on the small end, same with the Porsche Rods. If you can't sort it out with Tom Wilsons book get the Bentley book.
