Seems to me I remember a thread that brass and aluminum, when together in the coolant environment would react in a way that would cause corrosion? Now I understand this "T" would not directly contact aluminum--in fact would only contact rubber I think.

I think you're be doing a great service Jim, in reproducing this item. So this is not to discourage your efforts. Perhaps you've already completely researched the brass and have found it would not be an issue. Or pershpas the plastic. I'll let all you engineers figure it out.

Believe it or not my 83.5 Water cooled bus was off the production line so early it has a different coolant expansion tank and hose set up that does not use the "T". Problem in the hoses get dangerously close to the A/C belt. In fact they touch. I had to build sheilds on my hoses to protect them from the belt.
