Hi Dave, Well, you asked: What's the conversion factor to change miles per hour to furlongs per fortnight?
Terms: 1 Mile = 5280 feet 1 furlong = 660 feet 1 fortnight = 24 x 14 = 336 hours
Calculations: 1 mile/hr = 5280 feet/hour Hey guys, you're getting a little to serious about this. I figured one of the Canadian list member would do this off the top of his head with all the experience up there. Like I remember back in the 60's, before the metric invasion in the US, a friend of mine referred to his Crescent wrench as a "Canadian Socket Set". It handled SAE, Whitworth and metric all at once. (ducking and running.....) ........1 furlong/fortnight = 660 feet/336 hours = ~1.96 feet/hour Conversion: For Furlongs/Fortnight to Miles/Hour 1.96/5280 = ~.00372 (multiply by this factor) For Miles/Hour to Furlongs/Fortnight 5280/1.96 = ~2688 (multiply by this factor) I wonder about the availability of the proper speedometer for this application, and where are you going, anyway?
