Greetings all, I dutifully searched Gerry, in it's eternal slowness, but couldn't find what I was looking for, so grizzled, grumpy veterans avert ye eyes. The past couple of days, my otherwise new battery in my '91 Camper has been draining and needing a jump in the morning. The only change to the car in the past few weeks is the installion of the GoWesty headlight upgrade, which I'm all but sure is the cause. I'm not clear why, though. The upgrade is as simple as it gets, two wires cut, four wires added, a relay and ground wire attached to that nifty VW ground ring. The only two causes my limited noodle can figure is either: a) some contact that occured when I jammed that fuse panel back up there or b) the alternator can't support the higher-powered lights. Any feedback that doesn't involve an insult or groaning complaint that this topic has been talked to death is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, -MB -- _______________________________________________________________________ Mark Belanger - belanger@fluid.com |
