For those of you who are interested. The Portable Buddy is a great unit for use in RV's, pop-up campers, etc. However, The Buddy cannot be connected to the existing propane system in a RV or trailer. The reason for this is because the Buddy has a low-pressure regulator already built-in to it. Since a RV has tanks with regulators, the Buddy cannot be connected to these. If you do connect the Buddy to the existing system, it will double regulate the Buddy and adversely affect the performance of the heater. This can result in a weak pilot flame and trouble keeping the unit lit. Therefore, the Buddy needs to be connected with a dedicated line to a propane tank that does not have a regulator. Mr. Heater recommends either the F273701(5 foot) or F273702(12 foot) hoses. These hoses are especially nice because no wrench is required for connection. The following retail locations carry these hoses. I have included Internet links as necessary: Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/ Northern Tool & Equipment http://www.northerntool.com/ 1-800-533-5545 F273701: Northern # 173645 F273702: Northern # 173646 I hope this helps you out.
