I thought my "old" fuel pump had to be replaced because it was so noisy. It had a steady drone-like tone that was very annoying. I was told that it probably needed replacing. So, I replaced it with a Bosch product. Immediately I was not pleased. The new pump made pretty much the exact same constant tone as the old. But, after 10 weeks, something happened this morning. The new Bosch pump now makes a whole new set of noises. Behind the tone is a cyclical rise-and-fall in volume, like a vibration/hum that drowns out the original tone. Then there's the harsh vibration that I hear when I shut off the van, like a grating grinding sound. Any suggestions here? Matthew VANCOUVER |
