This group is absolutely awesome!!!

The fact that we have so much collective talent out there just blows me away. I had many replys off list and it gave me great insight to some computer problems.

The problem turned out to be insurmountable at this point in time. So, I returned the scanner back to the store where I bought it, put my old now defunct scanner in the trash, and placed an order for a new P-4 running Windows XP and an HP scanner with slide adapter. I know I will have better success with the new machine, and I am way past due. It was time to upgrade.

My thanks to all who contributed to helping me make the ultimate decision to get a new computer and a different scanner.
