Malcom, Thank you for the info. Phones would ease my mind a bit; I wonder what they charge to come get you if you break down somewhere out in the hinterland. Route planning proceeds apace! I'm sifting through NF and QC road maps online now; I've ordered paper copies of the Newfoundland and Labrador set from the tourism office. Anyone happen to catch the webcam of Goose Bay? Mandatory me-too weather report: a balmy 27°F here in Boston; two days ago it was 8°F. I've not attempted to move my bus since the cold snap started, but two weeks ago it purred its way up the coast to Freeport, ME without incident.
