Not really sure how a Sienna or Odyssey could be considered a "real" van, I decided to look up the definition. Websters dictionary describes a van and caravan as follows:

1 a : a usually enclosed wagon or motortruck used for transportation of goods or animals; also : CARAVAN 2a b : a multipurpose enclosed motor vehicle having a boxlike shape, rear or side doors, and side panels often with windows c : a detachable passenger cabin transportable by aircraft or truck.

Full size vans are crude in their technological development and they stay that way because they work. They do what they are called to do and in fleet service, they do it for hundreds of thousands of miles. They can haul and tow more than any "mini-van" which is what the Sienna, Odyssey, and other like it are. The Astro vans and Ford Aerostars in my opinion are like down sized full sized vans and are the functional equivalent of the Vega and Pinto, (Down sized cars).

While it's great to see these new vehicle options for "westy" fanatics, I wonder if we can get them to provide a custom conversion for a real van like a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey, instead of another 'Big 3' hunk of detroit metal. Sorry, but I'll keep camping out of the back of my Honda Civic before I park a chevy, ford, or dodge in my driveway! good day.
