That's an *excellent* solution. I just like "rolling my own". I hadn't thought to look in junkyards, since LED brakelights are relatively new and late-model cars don't tend to turn up in large numbers in junkyards here.

I decided to add those on a whim. They're probably not necessary, but given how low the Vanagon's turn signals are I figured it couldn't hurt to have a set up high while I was at it.
