It's almost impossible to measure with a multimeter as virtually every
speaker varies wildly over the audio spectrum.  If you can't ask the dealer
or manufacturor just hook it up as 8 ohms.  Less power but almost certainly
you can't hurt the speakers that way.

What kind of receiver are you using?  Reason I ask is almost all receivers
these days are solid state and don't really care much whether the speakers
are 4 or 8 ohms.
