Aside from the pride of accomplishment, which I certainly can't quantify,
you'll be ahead of the game if you start with the best car you can find.  In
telling me about restoring his early T-bird, a buddy of mine said he would
never do it again because it would have been cheaper to go to Carlisle and
buy one already restored.  And, this was from a guy who worked in a
restoration shop.


By the way, has your boyfriend ever noticed the number of t-topped GM cars
plying the highways and byways with RTV smeared around the edges of their
roof panels?
