I stick some of the messages in the Hayes manual I carry in the van - I must admit it's getting a bit bulky!

This leads me to another problem. Has anyone worked out a tidy idea for a bookshelf in a camper? Books I'm reading on a trip seem to get lost under clothes, food etc in lockers. I carry a square plastic bucket between the seats - it starts off being for maps and books and CD's, then seems to collect empty drink containers, orange peel, apple cores... it gets worse.

Behind the front passenger seat is my fridge/stove unit - no room for a bookshelf there. Behind the driver is the wardrobe, with a drawer then top- opening locker above it. This might be a possibility, but I love that top- opening locker for throwing money, clothes pegs, burn cream, ferry tickets etc etc. The console down one side of my camper is all taken up with the sink and more top-opening lockers.

I'm presuming that a bookshelf should face aft, so books don't come flying forward when I brake. This is a better conundrum that counting sheep to put me off to sleep. Last night I dreamed off on a little library trailer tagging along behind.
