Dirty transmission oil in 15K miles is a sign that things are going wrong. The clutches have been slipping and are burning up. The pan and valve body can be removed and compressed air can be used to test each clutch assembly through the ports in the transmission. Unless you simply lost the accumulator seal, it sounds as though the trans is coming out.

The transmission fluid level is ok..just a bit dirty, never changed it but the transmission was rebuilt less than 15k miles ago. My only problem is the weather to get under the van..I don't want to fix the transmission again, if something external has to be fixed that is ok. The estrange thing is that the van was running before...I just parked it, next day wanted to go out and no way to move it...it starts perfectly. BTW thanks I am back in 2003 now!
