BTW, I thought the spec for engines with sodium-filled exhaust valves was 0.006 intake, 0.008 exhaust? ------------------ Clip ----------------------- I don't think stock VW engines have sodium filled valves ....... just the Porsche. This is a stock engine. The valves are not excessively loud ................ I just had to do a double take because I expected Hydraulic lifters like 80-83. While walking in my sleep recently at a wrecking yard I picked up a set of Solid Lifters and Push rods for a 78 and just never thought before I adjusted for hydraulics. If I had used Boston Bob's techniques I'd been right on. Stan
