I was very saddened by a radar image of the debris field as picked up by a National Weather Service radar at Shreveport LA. I pulled radar images from a few minutes before the disaster until the debris plume disappeared from the radar five hours later, and with no prior experience pulled it into a animated gif. Its big= 1.7megs. If that makes you choke, but you are curious, here is one frame at the NWS site: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/radar/current/kshv/011625.gif I posted it on the vanagonair list as a file - vanagon air is not restricted right now, so everyone that wants can have access to it. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Vanagonair/files/columbiaradar.gif If you belong to the Yahoo! Syncro group and vanagonair is busy, there is one there as well.
