so i have screwed around with the mixture at the afm enough to get the van to idle on its own on the second start. first start it will die immediatly, then it will fire up and chug along. the problem is, if i give it some gas, it will rev up just fine, but as the revs come back down to idle it will die. so im wondering what would cause this? too much/not enough air/gas? have a new aux. air regulator, and it has juice. the idle stabilizer can be ruled out as it runs the same way with it by-passed. i swapped in a different fuel pres. reg. with no change. i replaced all vacum lines recently. new plug wires, cap, rotor, plugs are a year old. could the timing being off cause this? this problem has all the callings of a temp 2 sensor gone bad, but i tried 2, yes 2 new ones with no change in attitude. grounds have been cleaned. i plan on setting the timing, idle and fidddling with the mixture more this weekend but i think it will help not. anybody have any ideas? thanks ===== Scott Wilson 85 GL Westfalia __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
