Well after 15 years, the stock radio antenna on my 88 Vanagon snapped off. I've purchased a new one; I've replaced others before on other cars. I've taken a brief peek behind the driver's side headlight bucket and all I see there is the tube for the base of the antenna extending through a metal bulkhead. Do I have to disassemble from the top of the dash or the bottom of the dash to do this replacement or is there something better or worse in store for me. I've checked my Bentley and it doesn't mention the subject at all that I can see. Someone out there must have done this before. Guidance please. Thanks in advance.
