Bert, The early model over head AC used in buses and sunroof vans can fit. The only thing is it will lower the headroom somewhat. The blower vents are also just above your head. It's factory AC so fits just about perfect. In dash AC which was fitted to the air-cooled vans can also be fitted. The problem in my opinion is finding a bracket for the AC compressor. It would seem the turbodiesels do not have a suitable bracket. I am searching for a way to add this to my doka with the factory 1.6 td engine. I will wait until I change the engine to 1.9td before having brackets made. I also have in my possession a Tiico (gasoline inline 4) AC bracket which I bought from another list member. I will try that first. BenT Vanagon Cafe |
