These are the names of four Army Rangers that were killed in a MH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crash in Afganistan on January 30, 2003.

Chief Warrant Officer Mark S. O'Steen, 43, of Alabama Chief Warrant Officer Thomas J. Gibbons, 31, of Maryland Sgt. Gregory M. Frampton, 37, of California Staff Sgt. Daniel L. Kisling Jr., 31, of Neosho, Mo.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, but there was no indication of enemy fire.

Hopefully, the amount of time and energy expended discovering the cause of this tragedy will be proportional to the number of future lives at stake, not to the amount of news coverage the incident generated.
