Subject: Radio Size - dimensions?
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

The after market radio that I installed in my 88 Vanagon is beginning to have some problems so I'm ready to begin shopping for a new one.

I can't find the manual on the one that I have which might have the exterior dimensions, so I'm looking for that info. I'm considering an AM/FM unit with CD so if you have such installed and want to venture the make and model, that might be a help as well.

Thanks,

John Graham

ps. In case any of you have what I have and have a solution, here's what my problem is. I have an Alpine TDM-7546, a cassette receiver, with a removable face plate. When it's cold (or even just cool now) out, the radio will play to begin with, but when the sun shines on the face plate, it will turn off in about 10-15 seconds. To turn it back on, I just press anywhere on the face plate and it comes back on. It eventually stabilizes, but it's just a hassle. I suspect that the problem is in the faceplate, but haven't disassembled yet to see.
