Just wanted to express our sorrow about the astronauts
who perished, their families, Nasa, and the country.
We once visited the Houston Space Center on a
cross-country trip. That was many years ago, and we
were driving a '72 VW bus.
The space shuttles had just been built, and Nasa was
still using disposable rockets.
While touring the space center, we realized what
impressed us the most were not the huge moon rockets,
but the idealistic and hopeful demeanor of the Nasa
employees about what the future would hold.
