Hello Volks,


The last few days while down shifting from 4th to 3rd gear my tranny grinds a bit. Sounds and feels like the syncro's aren't doing their job.


Needless to say I imagine all sorts of things could be wrong... low on fluid...famed 3-4th gear slider problem... syncro's.


Can someone tell me if they recognize the symptom? The tranny runs and shifts great in all other respects... 1-2-3-4...3-2-1. It just grinds from 4th-3rd after cruising at highway speed for a while.
