Helmut,

The web site for the diesel kit is www.overlandparts.com/tdd.htm They are in California. One of the vendors on the list was going to start carrying the Overland diesel kit and installing it as well. They have backed off doing this for now. They had some concerns but wouldn't say why. One of the issues discussed regularly on the list is the need to match new engines with a transmission having the proper gearing for the engines hp and torque outputs. As I mentioned to you last week, those of us here like me who have an automatic transmission likely can't install the diesel because the engine needs to be able to cruise down the highway at 4000rpm. Dr. Diesel wouldn't like that! Even with the manual transmissions for the petro wasserboxer there are a number of transmission options all of which have different effects on a diesel engines performance. So...thats all I know. Did you hear anything on those diesel/automatic cabs in Berlin?

Later, Bob 84 westy
