Hey Kevin,

My grandfather passed on these words of wisdom to me when I was but a young lad. Now I pass it on to the list:

There are only two essential tools for living. Duct tape and WD-40. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it does move and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Of course the big hammer or "the persuader" as I like to call mine does come in handy at times also. Sometimes I just scowl and wave it menacingly at a really tight fastener and it will loosen up a bit. It really breaks their spirit...

There is lots of info on what spare parts are recommended for long trips in a Vanagon (a spare van if possible!). What I would like to know is what tools would be the minimum to bring along as well? Duct tape, WD-40, big hammer????
