Neil; Did the old radio have poor reception? I find it very hard to believe a "new" radio has poor reception. Maybe you damaged the antenna coax during replacement. Did the antenna plug in firmly? Some radios have a slightly different socket so perhaps there is a bad connection there. On the other hand my wife says that something called "am" doesn't work well on our vehicles. Whatever that is. ;-/
