For those on the list who are looking for a lower priced tire and feel comfortable with a load rating of 95 (1521 lbs @ 44 psi max. pressure), Pep Boys (in California and at least some other states--unless I'm mistaken) is selling their store brand 205/70 R14 "Euro Metric" tires for $35. With tax and balancing, it's close to $50. The sidewalls are two ply polyester. They are M&S rated and have a 40,000 mile pro-rated warranty. According to one of the sales people, they are made by Cooper Tire Company. Each person must decide if 95 is a high enough load rating, but I thought some on the list might want to know about this option. I purchased a set for one of our vans (alloy wheels), and so far I'm satisfied with them. Hope this information is useful to some on the list. Lee Kouns 87 Westy 88 Westy |
