I have a Tiico in my '88 wolfsburg, and really like it.....but.... the Tiico has a resonance vibration that I have not been able to work out. I am in the process of changing to a Subaru boxer motor. The power output is also comparable. The 2.2 Subie puts out ~130hp, the 2.5 puts out ~165hp. I found a 3.3L flat six that puts out 230hp - compared to the 118hp with the Tiico. With a Subie, you either love it or hate it. Try going to www.turbovans.com and www.smallcar.com for more information. I guess I should be happy with the Tiico. It runs great. I set the cruise at 80mph and just go. No problems with hills or long grades. I have liked the reliablilty it has given "Mother Goose" and has never let me down. But, that 3.3L six is calling my name... Hope this helps.... Chris Stanford Montgomery, AL |
