I can't remember now if was as a warranty thing or a freebie as part of a product recall.Memory fails me but given the warranty period was only 12 months (but unlimited kilometers) for commercial vehicles at the time, it may well have been a recall FOC replacement thing. Anyway whatever it was,I got the $150 part for nix so I was happy :) Is this /was this not a fix-it-upper honoured by VW in the US...? Bloody well should be...
