You have to turn your van upside down to get it out. No really, the easy way to do it is to get yourself a battery lifter strap. http://www.parts4carts.com/cgi-bin/links/search.pl?query=battery+lifter Pop it on the terminals and out it comes. That's assuming the terminals are roughly in the center of the battery. If they're not, when you try and pull up the battery, one side will lift first and the other side will get caught on the metal flange at the top of the battery box. If this is the case, just use a long flatblade screwdriver to keep it level while lifting it with the battery strap.
