I recall a thread some time ago wherein someone wanted to know if he could cut down the terminals for clearance, and the overwhelming response was that it could damage the battery if he stressed the terminals. We all seem to agree on that one, and it stands to reason that the same care should be taken when moving the battery by not stressing the terminals. I suppose one cannot say if they actually damaged the battery or not, since it may seem to work fine, but internal damage could lessen the life, or lower the capacity, and we would never know about it, or consider the possibility. I wouldn't be concerned if the distributor did it, as he is not the manufacturer, and he would have to pay for the damage, but if one dropped $85 for a battery and damage it, its more personal :-) Odds are, as you have shown, that nothing will happen, but if it does, its expensive. >I agree about the virus distribution software though. :-)
