ah, we don't have the word yet for an economic system that works: we
thought capitalism/they thought communism/much of the world now thinks
socialism.
while millions starve because "there is not enough." while the richest
capitalist country can't afford health insurance for all because "there
is not enuff money." while that great capitalist country tries all it
can to insult individuals and nations who actually claim that maybe we
have enuff time to have peace, not war. a capitalist country that has
fully demonstrated that all the toys in the universe will never equal
happiness, even as our hair gleams and shines, our automobiles streak
like magic through twisting highways, our computers bring us new levels
of communication, we have ichat and echat and OALchat and bulletin
boards and we can't quite remember the names of our neighbors, and we
think that if we only have a few more guns then, finally, we'll be save
(or more and better locks, more cops, more more more more more more),
and we cry in our soup that folks last christmas didn't spend enuff
money to keep the false economic boat afloat instead of celebrating
that maybe people are finally discovering that they have perhaps spent
enuff already thank you.
maybe: capcomsocialism.
