Hi All,

I've been watching Damon's thread with interest because I'm in a similar situation. I need to pull the top end apart to have cylinder #1 honed and seated with new rings, and I'm considering one of three options:

1. Just pulling what I HAVE to (believe I have to pull #2 to get to #1) and having those sleeves honed and pistons reringed. 2. Pulling all pistons/sleeves and: a. Having a machine shop rehone all sleeves and seat new rings b. replacing them all with a new set - prehoned & seated (probably from Bob) 3. Attempting a complete rebuild.

Two questions: 1. Is it a MUCH better idea to replace pistons/sleeves/rings than to go the machine shop route, and how bad an idea is it to rehone/seat just one side? 2. Recommendations on who might do a bottom-end rebuild if i wanted to shop that out? Damon, how's it going with Buslab sofar? Contact info?

Thanks!! Eli 85 Westy GL
