Subject: bus bars for bus (engine conversion wiring questions)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all,

now that my diesel-gas conversion is running, I'd like to make my engine wiring a little prettier (and possibly safer.) I've decided to simplify the whole thing by installing an enclosed fuse panel inside the engine compartment (probably on the fire wall.) Since I'm running CIS, my needs are pretty limited - I basically need to have a point for constant 12 V from battery, 12 V. at start and/or run, and a nice ground point. I was poking around my local FLAPS and Radio Shack the other day, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for - specifically a fused panel that would provide at least three 'in' screw terminals each with a series of 'out' screw terminals. Obviously, I don't even know the correct terminology for this. Do any of you wiring gurus have some advice about what such a thing would be called or where to get one? My idea is to provide clear runs to each engine component to make it easier to troubleshoot problems or to upgrade to other fuel injection systems at a later date.

thanks,
