Thanks Gary. The plot thickens <g>

When I get a form in the mail about getting an insurance quote, there is a note that tells me that by requesting this quote, I am giving authorization to have my credit rating checked, along with a DMV check as well.

I think someone screwed up in implementing such a plan, and has made this look like a bigger deal than it really is, and perhaps I am overly concerned. I don't care much about my credit, but my concern comes from the way we just turn around one day and more privacy and personal details are being given away for no reason at all.

Thank you for explaining. I am not sure how to proceed with getting rate quotes, but I suppose I will just keep doing it now and then, and hoping for honesty at the agency <g>

Regards,

John
