Others had replied, so I made my responses and questions on the list for their info, but I am done with it tho, so no worries. :)

If it was a valid reason, how did they do quotes before the law allowed the credit checks in the first place, and how do they do it in states where it is not allowed? A quote is just that, not a binding contract.

Its just another method of invading privacy and wielding the sword of power and authority in the face of the consumer.

Your explanations and experiences are much appreciated. My disgust, bad attitude, and distrust is directed at elected representatives who allow this kind of stuff to happen at all.
