Bill, you forgot to add in the cost of the military for keeping the oil flowing, the cost of the cleanup from the spills, the cost to the taxpayer for the HUGE tax breaks and incentives that the US gives them, and on and on. Gas ain't cheap, its made to look that way, but the behind the scenes cost is enormous. Independent studies from more than a few sources put the cost to Americans at easily over $10 a gallon, and that doesn't include the price of human life.

The only rational approach.

We should convert out homes to solar power, or wind, and use the money saved on the E-bill for feeding our Vans!
