I'd like to use my stock gauge for my belly tank under my sliding door, it would seem to follow that I would need to use a stock vanagon sending unit in order for the gauge to operate properly.

Firstly, would there be a difference in the gas gauges between a syncro and a 2wd van? The senders themselves are different, but would the gauge properly read input from either the 2WD or syncro sender?

Secondly, what kind of depth range does the 2WD and syncro sender have? The belly tank is 5" deep.

Thanks, Chris
