Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Well, It's fixed now! Thanks to all of you who offered suggestions. As soon as I had posted my plea for help, I remembered the archives. And sure enough, someone had asked this question about every 6 months for about as far as the archives went back.

The main purpose of this note is for the newbies who might know that the archives exist. They contain a wealth of knowledge and the answers to many problems you might have are already there. And of course they are searchable.

The archives are at > http://gerry.vanagon.com/archives/vanagon.html

One msg that I found there also referred to a list of files somewhere on the Vanagon web site that contained 'canned procedures' for such things as replacing the antenna. Well I couldn't find the FTP list that was referred to, but did find a list of files which I think are the list of things that used to be in the FTP area. This set of files is at > http://gerry.vanagon.com/files/

How do we get things like the 'antenna replacement procedure' put there?

That's all - thanks to all who offered suggestions.
